Australian Open 2016 Prize Money Distribution

Australian Open 2016 is the first grand-slam of the year in tennis . This year there is 33% increase in the prize money of the event . The winner of men competition will receive $3.8 million and same prize money for the women singles winner . The runner ups from the event will paid upto $1.8 million in male and female singles competition .

Last year Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic dominates the singles competition in 2015 , this year Andy Murray , Stan Warwinka , and Roger Federer were looking to give tough competition and looking strong competitor for the Djokovic the defending champion . Serena Williams have competition from (Maria Sharapova , Eugene Bouchard , and Ana Ivanovic).
