Viswanathan Anand is one of the top Indian chess Grandmaster and former World Chess Champion. There are some people who were genius in the profession they chose one name will "Viswanathan Anand" who is outstanding in chess its pretty difficult to defeat him in such puzzle game . He made first appearance in chess world championship 1993 and made to quarter finals but lost from (Anatoly Karpov) .
He many times come closer to win the Chess world championship but in 2000 he won the FIDE World Chess Championship defeating Alexei Shirov in Tehran , Iran . In 2006 Indian Forbes listed him among the highest paid Indian celebrities at 84th spot with earnings (Rs 6.76 Crore INR) . He won the Arjuna Award for Outstanding Indian Sportsman in Chess in 1985 and Padma Shri – 4th highest civilian award awarded by Government of India in 1987 .
